Install via Package Managers or Executable Jar

You can install Jalview in a number of ways other than the main desktop installer. You may find one of the methods below suits your needs better, although some peripheral functionality or integration with your operating system may be lost. See the notes for details.

If you want to test features scheduled for the next release of Jalview, please install the Jalview Test app.

If you are interested in trying out features currently in development, please install the Jalview Develop app.
