Please look further down the http://www.jalview.org/download.html page - 
there you will find a link to the installAnywhere version of Jalview. 
This will install a copy of the program on your machine - but unlike 
with the webstart mechanism, this approach has the disadvantage that 
should new versions be released, you will have to download and install 
them yourself.
