Letters of Support For Continued Funding for Jalview

Recent development to Jalview has been made possible by a grant from the BBSRC for the VAMSAS project.
Like all grants, this funding will come to an end. If you like Jalview, it would help us a lot in securing new grant funding for the program if you could take a few minutes to write a letter of support to say how you have used Jalview and why you would like it to continue.
Please email your support letter to this address:

Ideally, the letter should be sent as an attachment with your institutional heading and addressed to:
Prof. Geoff Barton, School of Life Sciences Research, University of Dundee, Dow St., Dundee, Scotland, UK.
Thank you very much for your help.

Jalview User Questionnaire

It is our intention that Jalview remains a free, open source GPL licenced program. However, with conventional grant funding our work has to focus first on the research needs of the grant, so we don't always have time to develop every new feature that is desired by users outside our own group.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to find out how you - the Jalview user - would feel about having the option to pay a small (or large!) fee for additional support in the development of new features.

Do you want to answer this questionnaire ?

Your feedback on this short qustionnaire will be invaluable in planning future Jalview development. If now is not a good time, then you will be reminded to complete it the next time you start Jalview.
But - if you really don't want to complete this questionnaire, then click the button to the right.
