Thanks to great efforts by @walshtp and his colleagues in the University IT department @UoD_DTS and our team (@stuartmac44 @foreveremain and others), the upgrade to the multi-petabyte filesystem is going well and our services like JPred and JABAWS are returning @UoDLifeSciences

Very happy to welcome Renia Correya to @bartongrp. Renia has joined as a Research Software Engineer on the @Jalview team after some years working in industry. You can read more about Renia here: compbio.dundee.ac.uk/people.html

Due to major infrastructure work, @Jalview web site and Barton group services (e.g. JPred) will be unavailable from 1st to 5th April. If you require @Jalview analysis services during this time, please install JABAWS and configure your Jalview desktop instance to use it.

Amazing day at Bang goes the Border in Melrose. @Jalview school’s activity was really popular as was the @DaffDNA chloroplast sequencing. But @DDU_Dundee Ian Gilbert was mobbed at the virtual reality activity! We had to line up chair for crowd control! Fab! @UoDLifeSciences
